August 24, 2011
August 24, 2011, Red Bank - Attorneys at GH&C represented an EffiSolar Energy Corporation application for a utility scale solar facility in Florence Township, Burlington County, New Jersey. John A. Giunco and Vincent M. DeSimone prepared the application. The application was presented to the Florence Township Zoning Board by John Giunco. The Board granted a use variance for the solar utility generating facility along with a preliminary major site plan approval for Phases 1 & 2 and final approval for Phase 1.
The project faced unique and distinct issues to obtain the approval involving the ordinance compliance issue, environmental analysis and examination of the site, negotiations and settlement with an adjoining property owner, and proposing to the Board a decommissioning and restoration plan for the project.
