    July 27, 2011

July 27, 2011 - Red Bank, NJ - Attorneys from Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla, P.C., obtained a use variance and preliminary approval for an 18 mega watt utility scale solar power generation facility in Florence Township, NJ. The application and project was overseen by John A. Giunco, Esq., with significant support from Vincent M. DeSimone, Esq., in preparation of the applications and Sondra Lohnes, Paralegal. Mr. Giunco presented the application before the Florence Township Zoning Board. He was able to satisfy the Board?s requirements and Municipal Land Use Laws as it related to the use variance criteria. The Board granted the use variance along with preliminary major site plan approval for the 18 mega watt facility.

The site includes 114 acres and covers over 60,000 solar panels. It is projected that this utility scale solar facility will be generating electricity from solar power for at least twenty-five (25) years subsequent to installation.

For any information concerning solar land use applications for site development and for solar or alternative energy, contact John A. Giunco, Esq., 732-741-3900 or jgiunco@ghclaw.com.
