GH&C Attorneys Gain Approval For Client For Utility Grade Solar Generating Facility
December 2, 2011
December 2, 2011- GH&C, through their Land Use and Real Estate Department attorneys, gained approval for their client in Greenwich Township, Warren County, NJ for a sixteen (16) megawatt utility grade solar generating facility. The application was prepared and supported throughout the process by Vincent DeSimone, Esq. of GH&C. The application was presented to the Zoning Board of Adjustment (“Board”) by John Giunco, Chairman of the Department. The Greenwich Board held many hearings during the application and conducted a very thorough and meticulous examination of the plans and proposal for development. The development plan had unique challenges in that it proposed development in an area that was known for prime agricultural soils of Statewide importance. The plan was designed in order to meet the criteria associated with the utilization of those soils. Because of the scenic views along Route 57 in Warren County, the application required significant and detailed reconsiderations of the ordinance and site plan requirements and provisions applicable to the solar development.
