Matthew J. Ceres
In 2004, I worked as a summer associate in the Real Estate, Land Use and Development Practice Area. The experience was both rewarding and educational. I had very little exposure to the practice of law prior to this position and was really looking for a hands-on experience. I was very pleased that I was able to work closely with a number of attorneys who took the time to mentor me. I was able to attend both client and planning board meetings and was able to gain a better understanding of what was actually involved in the land approvals and development process.
Following the completion of my summer associate program, I continued to work on research projects for the firm during my third year of law school. This in turn led to me being offered the opportunity to join the firm as an associate at the end of the summer of 2005.

In 2005, I was a summer associate at the firm. I found the experience rewarding, and was constantly engaged in stimulating work where I received both involved direction and constructive feedback. I was able to get a real sense of what being an attorney at Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla would be like. Both associates and partners made an effort to get to know me.
My experience as a summer associate led to an offer from the firm to join them as an associate in the fall of 2006, which I happily accepted.
