Monmouth University Kislak Institute Honors John A. Giunco With Leadership Excellence Award


June 3, 2010, Red Bank - John A. Giunco, Shareholder in the law firm of Giordano Halleran & Ciesla, P.C. and Chairman of the firm’s Real Estate, Land Use and Development Practice Area, was awarded the Leadership Excellence Award from Monmouth University at their annual Kislak Institute Leadership Excellence Award Dinner. The Leadership Excellence Award recognizes the interdependent relationship between Monmouth University and the real estate industry. The award is conferred annually upon an outstanding individual for his or her distinctive contributions to the state of New Jersey and the nation through a career in real estate. Recipients are either residents of New Jersey or those who regard New Jersey as an important locus of their corporate identity. Peter S. Reinhart was also honored with the award.

John A. Giunco devotes his practice to the acquisition, development, sale and financing of real estate. Mr. Giunco has substantial background in business law and real property taxation. He advises clients with regard to the acquisition of land, its suitability for development, and methods of sale and financing. His experience includes the preparation and formation of the various business entities individually suited for the client's needs. A significant portion of his practice is devoted to the representation of developers before municipal, county and state agencies to receive developmental permits and approvals. He has experience in tracking development of land from its acquisition through to the issuance of final building permits. Mr. Giunco has structured significant and complex transactions of substantial value with unique financing criteria. He conducts litigation challenging development regulations, along with litigation to compel the issuance of permitting and developmental approvals.
