Site Remediation Regulatory Updates

Under the Site Remediation Reform Act, all remediation projects must be supervised by an LSRP, and the Department's oversight role has been significantly reduced as of May 7, 2012. This seminar will discuss the effect of the regulatory requirements and program structure on remediation and Brownfield redevelopment projects. Particular focus will be upon the latest adoption of Technical Rules and Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites, upcoming guidance documents, and the Remedial Priority Scoring system. The interaction and responsibilities of the remediating parties, LSRPs, environmental professionals, the Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board and NJDEP will also be discussed.

Annual Environmental Review

The Annual Environmental Review panel will highlight permitting issues that arise under the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Land Use Management regulatory program, including the Flood Hazard Area Control Act rules, Coastal Zone Management rules, and Freshwater Wetlands rules, and also Stormwater Management rules. The seminar will also highlight some anticipated regulatory changes, the Waiver Rule initiative, and draft Future Wastewater Service Area maps. Panelists will include NJDEP representatives as well as experts from the regulated community.
