    Environmental & Land Use Litigation

Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla's Environmental and Land Use Litigation practice area is experienced in a broad variety of land use, development and environmental litigation. Our attorneys protect the rights of developers and businesses in litigation with municipal, State and federal agencies, such as planning and zoning boards, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). We have extensive experience representing clients in litigation involving controversial projects and aggressively defend developers from objector lawsuits. Our experience includes governmental enforcement actions relating to commercial and industrial sites, landfills, power plants and construction sites. We regularly handle lawsuits between parties contesting liability for the costs of pollution cleanup.

Our attorneys are actively involved in important industry associations including: the New Jersey Builders Association; the Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey; the New Jersey State Bar Association, Land Use and Environmental Sections; the American Bar Association Section of Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law; the National Association of Home Builders Legal Action Committee and Legal Action Network for Development Strategies (LANDS); and the National Brownfield Association. Our attorneys have been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, and Super Lawyers.
