    Anthony J. Recchia
    Associate

    Anthony is an Associate in the firm's Real Estate and Land Use Practice Groups, where he represents developers, property owners, investors, and lenders in a broad range of real estate development and land use matters. His practice focuses on real estate acquisitions and dispositions, redevelopment, project financing, leasing, and development incentives.

    Anthony advises clients through all phases of the development process, including due diligence, acquisition, entitlement, financing, redevelopment, and disposition. He regularly counsels commercial and residential developers on land use approvals, including site plan, subdivision, and zoning variance applications, and represents clients before municipal land use boards, county agencies, and other regulatory bodies throughout the approval process.

    His experience includes projects involving redevelopment under New Jersey's Local Redevelopment and Housing Law, affordable housing initiatives, mixed-use developments, industrial projects, and planned residential communities. Anthony also negotiates redevelopment agreements, development agreements, settlement agreements, and conditions of approval with municipalities and counties.

    In connection with his redevelopment practice, Anthony has assisted clients in securing and negotiating a variety of economic incentives, including Long Term Tax Exemptions (PILOTs), Short Term Tax Abatements, and other public financing programs. His practice further includes advising on project financing, real estate transactions, and related development matters across New Jersey.

    Anthony began his legal career with the firm as a law clerk and summer associate while attending law school. During that time, he earned the Alternate Dispute Resolution Skills Program Certificate and competed as an oralist in the 28th Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. He also served as a research assistant, a LexisNexis student representative, and a Student Attorney in the Conservation Law and Policy Clinic, where he worked with The Nature Conservancy on environmental and policy initiatives. Prior to rejoining the firm, Anthony practiced at a boutique law firm, representing clients in a wide range of real estate matters, including commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, community association law, real estate transactions, collections, and litigation.
