Evan Zimmerman Elected to Board of NJ State Bar Association's Land Use Law Section

Evan Zimmerman, a shareholder in our Land Use Department, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Land Use Law Section.
Evan was chosen on June 18, 2024 for a three-year term as a director. He represents clients in all stages of the real estate development life cycle. Evan is experienced in leading a team of professionals and routinely works with engineers, architects, professional planners and accountants on complex land development projects.
Evan has presented applications for development to land-use agencies across the state. His breadth of experience encompasses all project types, including residential developments (such as multi-family apartment buildings and single-family tracts), industrial developments (such as warehouses, storage facilities and trucking terminals), and a wide range of commercial developments. His clients range from those at the local to the national levels.
In addition to presenting land-use applications, Evan also handles a wide range of transactional matters integral to the overall real estate development process. These include due diligence and zoning investigations, purchase and sale contract negotiations, corporate entity organizations, financing, leasing and related transactional matters. His practice also includes providing counsel on liquor license matters and various other commercial transactions, including asset purchases, equity investments, joint ventures and general contractual matters.
The Land Use Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association serves as a statewide leader on issues related to the field of land-use law. The section monitors and reports on a wide variety of trends and changes, including matters related to redevelopment, affordable housing, incentive programs, planning, community and urban affairs, and the Municipal Law Use Law. The section also tracks regulatory updates from agencies, reviews developments in case law, reports on pending legislation and advocates on behalf of the State Bar Association on land-use matters.
